HESLB Loan Application 2026/2027: Dates, Eligibility and Checklist
A practical checklist for the HESLB 2026/2027 bachelor-degree loan window, based on the official applicant guidelines.
The 2026/2027 HESLB bachelor-degree loan window is published as 19 June to 31 August 2026. That deadline makes preparation important: do not wait until the final day to discover that a document, admission detail or application field is incomplete.
Who should read the official guidelines?
Every applicant. HESLB’s guidelines include general and specific eligibility criteria, application procedures and conditions that cannot be reduced safely to one short checklist.
General criteria highlighted in the 2026/2027 guide
The guidelines include Tanzanian citizenship, admission to an accredited tertiary institution in Tanzania, submission through OLAMS and other conditions. They also state age and prior-qualification timing requirements and rules affecting applicants with previous loans or other sponsorship.
What Waridi Scholars does not claim
We do not estimate a guaranteed loan amount and we do not label an applicant “approved”. HESLB determines loan allocation under its rules and applicant circumstances.
Application workflow
- Read the current HESLB bachelor-degree guideline PDF.
- Confirm your admission and personal eligibility conditions.
- Prepare the required information and documents early.
- Use the official OLAMS route.
- Submit before 31 August 2026.
- Track the application through HESLB’s official channels/SIPA where applicable.
Common planning mistake
Do not make a university choice solely on an assumed loan amount. Compare tuition and other costs, then treat the final HESLB allocation as a separate funding decision.
